“We have just the right size” said parade organizer Jim Nuber, business manager for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 56. “We have 38 confirmed units.”
Those include marching bands from McDowell Intermediate and Erie High School, clowns from Erie’s Clown School, Honor Guard, labor unions, public safety and construction vehicles, floats and more.
If you don’t want to fight the crowded streets, it will be televised by the Community Access Media channel. For more information, visit carmerie.org. And, kids should bring a baggie, he said, as there will be plenty of candy thrown out.
Nuber said he is getting help from the Great Lakes Building and Trades Council, where he is an officer in putting on the parade.
“They’re a bigger entity,” Nuber said.
